Back Home

Im home for about 6 weeks now. I'm doing really good. Everything's really good. I'm having a great time with Reggie here and my friends are really nice. It was really nice to meet them all again.
It's really cool to be with my family again, too. It wasn't weird at all to be back home. First I thoght it would be, but I kinda felt like there wasn't a ig change in our family life when I got back home.
My English is still really good, I think, at least compared to my friends english :P It helps to have Reggie here with whom I have to speak english. In two weeks school starts here in Hessen.
I wonder how that'll work, but I'm pretty confident :) I think i matured a lot and I bacame more confident in myself. I learned (how) to appreciate things and I learned how to judge situations.
I don't regrett anything and I'm glad that I did it.

Camping and 6 Flags

Matts parents own a cabin at a campresort called Jellystone. It's about an hour to an hour and a half drive from here. We drove there on Tuesday. The Campground was really big and we went swimming and played basketball. We also played mini-golf. We stayed there for 2 days.
On Thursday we got up early and drove to Chicago to go to 6 Flags. A really big amusement park.
We arrived there right at the opening time and it was busy. We decided to each pitch in some money to get flash passes. It was worth it! We were able to go on every ride at least 2 times. The major rides, like the "Superman" or the "Raging-Bull" we rode 3 or 4 times. It was awesome.
I even dared to go on a Free-Fall.Tower. I've never been on one because I was scared of it all my life. It was the only thing I was nervous about. While the platform was going up a was really scared and after it dropped I was kind of glad that I was back on the ground. I'm glad I did it though.
There was the "Batman" ride, which was going backwards was really cool, too. I'm happy that Matt gave me the chance to experience an American amusement park. It was a fun week!
That was probably my last post from the US. I'm leaving in 3 days. My suitcase is packed and my package is sent. I want to write another post wehn I'm back home to explain how I have changed over the year, what I have learned and stuf like that.

Concert, Chicago 2 and some News

Hey,
in the middle of Mai, me and a friend went to a concert. Hollywood Undead and American Fangs played. Hollywood Undead was really good. I saw them the first time back in 2011 in Germany. They really improved. I cought a towel, but I realized that it's just a white towel with the sweat of Hollywood Undead :D Anyway, I had a good time.
Then, I was competing at the Regional Track meet in Long and Triple Jump. I didn't make it to the Sectional meet, though. Since track is over I go to the weight toom five time a week. I really like working out. I feel like I allready improved a little.
A week later the JazzBand made a trip to Chicago. It was really cool. We had amazing weather.
On friday there was a contest, but on Saturday we were able to walk around in Chicago for 6 hours. I liked that a lot, and I have to say again, that Chicago is just an awesome city!
I saw a lot of stuff I didn't see the first time I was in Chicago. For example the start of the Route 66.
I also went to the Millenium Park again. This prk is just amazing with the big bean in it. Of course I went shopping, too. I made some good deals. It was just an awesome trip with awesome people.
Now I'm in my last week on school and I have two and a half weeks until I leave. I just feel like really enjoying my last weeks here. My friend Matt is celebrating his birthday before I leave and we'll probably go to 6 Flags, a really big Park with rollercoasters and stuff. It would be awesome if I can go.
I think that's all for now.

Testing some guns and Conference Track meet

Last weekend was really nice. It was warm and i was reading outside. Kevin and Reggie came back from turkey huntig. Reggie shot one. Kevin came outside so test some guns and asked me if I wanted to shoot. I sure did. I have no Idea what guns we shot but it was loud! I really enjoy shooting guns.
Yesterday we had our Conference Track meet. I did long and triplejump. I got 9th place in both. I had a new pr in triple jump of about 11m. I should have done better in long jumo though. I jumped only 5.28m. I should have jumped at least 5,35m. Maybe I had a bad day... I don't know.
Now there are about 35 days left until I go back home. It's a really weird feeling. I think it's worse to come back, than leaving.

Midterm, Track & Prom

Hey,
It's allready the middle of my last quater here in Wisconsin. I'm having a blast right now. Everything is going so well. It's really sad that I have to leave soon, in about 6 weeks! In the past month I was hanging out with friends, going to track(meets) and I went to Prom.
Track is really good, even though the weather made some problems. I am a first team jumper and second team runner. I was able to improve my 100m time to about 12.3 and my long jump to 5,55m. Practice is hard, but not as bad as Cross Country. I'm thinkin of joining Track again, when I'm back in Germany, but I don't know yet.
Prom was a really good experience. I had a lot of fun. In the morning of Prom-day, I went to get a haircut. I got It really short. and I like it. At about 2p.m. Connor came to pick me up. We went to Laurens house. There our group met, and we went to take pictures in Treampealeau. Everyone was there and the weather was good. A little bit too good, because everyone was sweating in their tux. When all pictures were taken, which took a long time, we went to an Italian restaurant, which was really good. We had a Limo-bus to bring us to the restaurant and back to the school, where we went to the actual Prom. There we stayed for about 3 houres until the Grand March was over. In the Grand March every couple had to walk down from the stage and was announced over the speakers. Many visitors took pictures.
After all that was over we went to the Post-Prom. The after Prom party (like the name is telling you ;) There were many games, a lot of food, and prizes to win. I won a Pizza Hut giftcard and a t-shirt. It was all done at about 4:30a.m and we went home. The next day I slept until 1p.m.
The track meet on monday was really hard for me, but I jumped 17 feet, which is still OK.
Otherwise there weren't a lot of things that happened in the past month.
In two weeks I'll go to a concert of Falling in Reverse and Hollywood Undead with a friend. It'll be fun. I think that's all for now :)

First week of the last quater

Now the first week of the last quater of my high school year in America is over. I have a new class, American Lit. The class is fun and I think a can learn a lot. Since I have two English classes I have to read 3 books. That's a little bit confusing, but I'm doing fine.
It is getting a little bit warmer now. You can go outside with long pants and a sweatshirt. On tuesday we'll have another track meet. I don't know what I will do yet, but I think I'm going to triple jump, long jump and maybe run 100m or 200m.
Last week I went to the tux rental to order a tux for prom. Prom is in 3 weeks. I'm excited to go there and experience it.
On Saturday we went to Viturbo University and watched Hunter perform in one of his shows.
That's all, I just wanted to write a little post.

New Orleans + Memphis

During springbreak I went to the choir and band trip with my high school. We spent 3 days in New Orleans and one in Memphis. It was an awesome trip and I made a lot of new friens and talked to people I havn't talked before.
We left the high school on saturday at about 8 for a 22 hour bus ride! At first the bus ride was fun, because we all taked and watched movies, but after a while (maybe 8 hours..) we all got sick of riding the bus. At night I slept on the floor of the bus. It was nicer than sleeping in a sitting position.
As soon as we arrived we had breakfast at an iHop. And after that we went on a city tour with the bus. We went of the bus at some important places for example a New Orleans graveyard. The New Orleans graveyards are known for their special tombstones. We went to a park and took some pictures and after that we went to our hotel room. When we got on the bus the next day we went to the French Quater. We had about 4 hours to do stuff. I had great fun. Later this day we went to a university where we played a couple songs for a judge. After that we went to a dinner cruise on a steam boat. We had good food and we listened to good jazz music while floating on the river. It was fun. Especally the time in the French Quater.
The next day we got up early to go to a big warehouse of the Mardi Gras parade and we looked how the people made the sculptures and we looked at some big floats. It was pretty cool, but I guess it's more interesting for people who watched the parade more than just one time.
After that we went to a plantation where black people worked for white people. I was looking foreward to this because I hoped to see and learn many things. Unfortunately we kind of rushed through everything. It was still pretty good, though. Next stop was the New Orleans Zoo.
It was a lot of fun! We saw a bunch of cool animals. A white tiger, some crazy monkeys and really fat rhino. Then we packed our stuff to leave for Memphis in the morning. All in all the time in New Orleans was great. The best part was to explore the city of New Orleans by ourselfs. There is so much to see... and by the way, the food was the best I ate in the US so far!
The next day in Memphis we went to Hooters for lunch and explored the city after that. We were walking in Memphis! Up and down Beale Street. I wanted to go to the Gibson guitar factory, but they were closed. That was a thing I really wanted to see, but what can I do? Memphis was allright. Not as cool as New Orleans or Chicago, but It was cool to be there for the day.
The same day we drove on to Misoury where we ate in a good restaurant and slept. The next morining we drove home and arrived at about 7p.m. I was happy that I was in the second bus, because the first bus had a flat tire and arrived at the high school 4-5 hours later.
All in all the trip was very good and I had a lot of fun!
